Abigail Snyder is the foreign rights assistant for DeFiore & Company, as well as for Kaplan/DeFiore Rights, working with Linda Kaplan. Originally from Atlanta, GA, she joined DeFiore in June 2022 after earning her BA in English and interning at Peachtree Publishing Company and Ayesha Pande Literary. At DeFiore, she works with agents to help negotiate contracts for publishing their authors’ works in translation and in the UK. In addition to offering assistance to authors and agents, she handles international tax forms and supports DeFiore’s involvement in the London, Frankfurt, and Bologna Book Fairs.
A lover of diverse, mission-driven storytelling and nonfiction that centers the unique intersection of place and personhood, she enjoys reading international fiction and books in translation.
