Huda Al-Marashi is the author of the forthcoming middle grade novel Hail Mariam (Kokila/Penguin, 2026) and a coauthor of the middle grade novel Grounded (Abrams, 2023), which won the Walter Dean Myers Honor award. She also wrote the memoir First Comes Marriage: My Not-So-Typical American Love Story (Prometheus, 2018), which was longlisted for the Chautauqua Prize and a finalist for the Southern California Independent Booksellers’ Award.
