Kathleen Bahr writes prose and poetry for children, including Mama Won’t Mind, her debut picture book, forthcoming from Knopf Books for Young Readers. Her work has also appeared in Babybug, Ladybug, Spider, Highlights High Five, and Highlights. She co-authored Scholastic’s 15 Minutes a Day to a Colossal Vocabulary, a resource book for classroom teachers. Kathleen earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in education of the gifted from Teachers College, Columbia University. She lives in Colorado with her family.
