MinuteEarth is an expert team of scientists and illustrators that combines rigorous science with entertaining storytelling to explain how the world works to its huge fanbase all around the globe. MinuteEarth has a huge social media presence including more than 3 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.2 million followers on TikTok, and an additional several hundred thousand followers across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

MinuteEarth is led by head writer Kate Yoshida, PhD, a wildlife biologist who spent years as the curator of biology at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. She’s also written about science for The New York Times, Conservation Magazine, and Slate. Other members of the writing team include David Goldenberg, who has written columns about science for the Wall Street Journal, Atlas Obscura, and FiveThirtyEight, and Cameron Duke, a biology instructor who has written for Live Science, New Scientist, and Discovery’s Curiosity Daily. Our designers and illustrators include Sarah Berman, who has assisted in designing the layout for several Discovery Kids books, and Lizah van der Aart, PhD, a microbiologist who has illustrated the covers of multiple academic journals. Although the MinuteEarth team hails from around the world, our offices are based in Missoula, Montana.
